Used on small trailers, not required to be registered, and carry the same number as the towing vehicle.

Used for interstate carriers.  Three prefixes issued  -  'IS'  ' IT'  and  'IU'.

The 'TOW' prefix was reserved for Tow Trucks
Used up to approx 1996 them replaced by new slogan plates in blue / white


Heavy Tow Trucks have the reserved format 'HTT'
A batch of plates were made with an error being 'HHT'  These plates were not issued but later released to collectors.

Heavy TOW TRUCK
From approx 1996.
Tow Trucks with 'TT' plates cannot attend accident scenes but can move vehicles and equipment from place to place.

Accessory - Bike Rack
Required to be used when the visibility of a rear vehicle plate is obscured by bike carrier or similar obstruction.
The number is the same as the vehicle.
